Letters, 1861-1863, 1939.

Letters (1861-1863) written to his wife and children in Platteville, Wisconsin by Captain Samuel J. Nasmith of Company C, 7th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment, and later, Colonel of the 25th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment, including a typewritten copy of a letter written while stationed in Minnesota following an Indian massacre. Also included are a brief biographical sketch and letter (1939) written by his son, J. S. Nasmith of Marion, New York.
